History of Adjutant
In order to gain an understanding of the complete Adjutant system, a brief history of how the software was created is helpful.
Adjutant’s development was based on the theory that a company’s efficiency and performance would drastically improve if its daily tasks were scheduled, assigned, and completed in the most accurate and effective manner possible. Managing a company’s resources, and the tasks assigned to them, is often an overwhelming task. To effectively manage the workforce a Task Management software system was developed using the best known business principles and practices. It was later integrated with equally well-designed CRM, Project Management, Contract Management, and Billing systems. Over the years that initial piece of software has grown and been greatly improved upon.
In order to meet the demanding needs of a prominent Global 500 company, an inventory and wireless warehouse management system was developed and proved itself worthy of the Adjutant name with a six-sigma shipping accuracy rate. An advanced, online quoting and procurement system was also added to increase the total functionality and ROI of Adjutant. Those systems were fully integrated with each other and provided a supply-chain management system with seamless performance.
Wireless technologies have continued to significantly improve business processes, especially in the mobile workforce. With over 50% of the US workforce mobile in some manner, it was apparent that a mobile solution needed to be integrated into the system. Adjutant for PocketPC™ was created in order to provide real-time wireless connectivity for the mobile worker. The addition of GPS tracking technology allows electronic work orders to be instantly created, assigned and delivered to wireless devices based on the real-time availability and location of the mobile workforce.
Partnering with our customers has allowed us to continually add functionalities that are both valuable and well-designed. The end result of years of development is a completely integrated system with incredible capabilities and functionality.
